Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September, 1983 in Worthington Ohio, is an American actress. Maggie Grace is most well-known for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills and Kim Mills in ABC's Lost television series. The couple had separated and she relocated with her mother into Los Angeles. In 2001, despite her finances she managed get her first significant role in the online video show Rachel's Room as the principal character. The actress was able to secure an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of fifteen-year-old victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford, a role she played in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace left the show to focus on her film career. The actress had been on the show with Tom Welling opposite in The Fog in 2005. The actress starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. In 2008, she played the same role in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace returned to Shannon's character on Lost for two additional episodes, including the final episode of the series. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. The character she plays is Faith who's both a star-gazer and the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. She's a Gyllenhaal. child of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit younger in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. She started her acting career when she was a teenager, playing small parts in a few of his films. She also appeared together with her brother in famous cult classic Donnie Darko (2001). She then appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received praise from critics for her leading roles in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) and Sherrybaby (606) that earned their Golden Globe Award nods. Her fame grew after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) due to the success of several commercials she appeared in during 2006. She was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Rachel Dawes in Crazy Heart, (2009). In the following years, she appeared in comedies and dramas: Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Will Not Back Down (2012). The other roles she played were a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) as well as a singer in the film Frank (2014) and The title role in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal began her career as screenwriter and director in 2021. she wrote and directed the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter. The film won Best Screenplay at the Venice International Film Festival, and it was nominated by the Academy Award.
