Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers - was born the 8th of July, 1989 in Paris. As a child she attended at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma always had the desire to become a professional actor since she was aged six. She was enrolled at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford which is an acting academy that offers part-time classes. Her performances had been in several Stagecoach or school shows before she turned ten. In 1999 casting began to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theater teacher. After eight consecutive auditions, the producer David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they were cast as the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. It also was one of the top-rated films in 2001. Opening days and weekends of the sales were record breaking. The film received praise from reviewers, and so were the performances of its three young starlets. The Daily Telegraph, a well-read British newspaper, was awed by her for her performance. Emma's performance received nominations and was awarded five awards for the film.
